Coming Soon in 2026
Silence around sexual abuse has left too many survivors carrying wounds in isolation. Outcry Witness breaks that silence. Written by JoDee Neil, a survivor and a seasoned courtroom lawyer, this book blends story, research, and lived experience to show how disclosure can spark healing.
Whether you are a survivor, a parent, or a professional working with children and families, Outcry Witness offers insight, guidance, and a path forward. It’s a resource for anyone who believes that protecting children and supporting survivors is the key to changing our world for the better.
A Story of Healing
For years, JoDee Neil carried her story in silence. Like so many survivors of sexual violence, she bore the weight alone. Telling her story became the first step toward reclaiming her life and discovering a path forward. Outcry Witness is her invitation to other survivors: proof that healing is possible and that disclosure can be the start of healing that can transform lives.
Outcry Witness blends JoDee’s personal story with practical guidance for survivors, families, and professionals. It’s not just about the courtroom, though her legal experience offers unique insight into the criminal and civil systems. It’s about choice, voice, and the many paths to healing.
Inside, readers will find encouragement to share their truth on their own terms, tools for loved ones to support disclosure, and recognition that survivors are more than what happened to them.
This isn’t a legal textbook or a step-by-step manual. It’s part memoir, part guide, and all about giving hope and direction to those who need it most.
About JoDee Neil
For over two decades, JoDee Neil has been a force in the legal world. As a prosecutor in the Crimes Against Children division and a leading attorney in complex civil litigation, she has dedicated her career to fighting for the most vulnerable.
